New Barbizon Fashion, Inc., began its successful run of operations in 1974 through its predecessor companies, by offering a single brand of intimate apparel to the market, Barbizon.

As the company expanded over the years, NBFI ventured into various products for women including swimwear and activewear, then further into childrens and mens apparel.
