Radiologic Technologist

*Performs a variety of routine and specialized radiological procedures including overhead, fluoroscopy, mobile radiographic, and mobile fluoroscopy procedures, and other diagnostic imaging procedures such as CT-Scan and general ultrasound.


- Determines patients’ x-ray needs by reading requests or instructions from physician and explains the procedure to the patient or relative.
- Positions and transfers patients on examining table, sets up and adjusts equipment to view specific body area as requested by physician.
- Prepares patient for radiologic examinations by explaining the procedure first, removing accessories such as jewelry through which x-rays cannot pass and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately radiographed.
- Adjusts x-ray equipment to correct settings for each examination; determines proper voltage, current and desired exposure time; positions x-ray equipment as proper distance and angles to the patient's body.
