Barista

Responsibilities for baristas include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders & payments.
- Grinding & blending coffee beans, brewing coffee & tea, and serving items to customers.
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
- Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures.
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings.
- Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues.
- Communicates information to the manager so the team can respond as necessary to create a welcoming environment during each shift.
- Provides quality beverages, whole beans, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Follows operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

- Candidate must possess at least a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) / 2nd-year college degree, Food & Beverage Services Management, Hospitality/ Tourism/ Hotel Management, Business Studies/ Administration/ Management, Marketing, Food Technology/ Nutrition/ Dietetics or equivalent.
- Retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience are preferred.
- Ability to read and speak English proficiently
- Strong ability to multitask
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to solve problems quickly
- With above-average communication skills & customer service skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Experience in a coffee shop is an advantage.
