Encoder

• Responsible for posting received payments from Companies/Insurances Into the system used.
• Must be able to encode at least 50 checks per day.
• Must ensure that all relevant details found in the checks are entered into the system accurately and that all entries
are properly documented and all needed documents are attached to the check accordingly.
• Must know how to enter and apply adjustments properly. Total amount posted must be the same with the check amount (except when there is an excess payment).
• Payments entered in the Excess Payment module must include all needed information such as invoice/case number, patient name, excess amount, reason.
• Collaborates with other departments like billing for documentation retrieval; with company/insurance collectors for bill status and other verification.

• Senior High School Graduate; Vocational diploma/short course certificate or equivalent; Bachelor's/College Degree,
• Trainable and keen on details with good comprehension skills. Average to excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi task, flexible, knows basic keyboard shortcuts.
• Average to excellent typing skills and internet savvy.
• Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite.
• Good communication skills, persistent and with high enthusiasm level.
