Tax Accountant

WORKING HOURS: 9PM – 6AM (Mon – Fri)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Tax Processes
-Prepare monthly Sales and Use tax filing for multiple states in the U.S. and provinces in Canada;
-Prepare monthly U.S. gross tax receipts;
-Coordinate with management for various outsourced federal, state and local income tax filings, extensions and quarterly payments;
-Prepare necessary data such as state apportionments;
-Support resolution of states and local level tax questions and inquiries;
-Assist with new tax account registration under the direction of -Accounting manager;
-Issue resale certificate to suppliers and accept resale certificate from clients as appropriate;
-Complete Quarterly and Annual financial and services survey per the process;
-Coordinate with CPA firm and management for international tax and statutory compliance requirements.

Internal and External Audits
-Audit monthly transactional data for correct tax mapping, setup and research required compliance for new jurisdictions across various systems.

Project Management
-Ad-hoc reports and carry out special projects and other duties as directed such as tax research.

-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or Economics;
-1+ years of prior experience in tax accounting preferred;
-2+ years of prior work experience in finance/accounting field;
-Some knowledge of US and international federal, state and local tax regulations preferred;
-Advanced MS Excel, MS Office.
