Cost Controller

Responsibilities:

1. Budgeting and Forecasting:
-Develop and manage the budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior management.
-Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts based on historical data, industry trends, and organizational goals.
-Monitor actual financial performance against the budget and forecast, identifying and addressing any variances.
2. Cost Analysis and Reporting:
-Analyze costs and expenses across different departments or projects, identifying areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
-Prepare regular reports on cost performance, highlighting key findings and recommendations for management.
-Provide insightful analysis of financial data to support decision-making processes.
3.Cost Control:
-Implement and maintain effective cost control measures, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
-Monitor and track expenses, ensuring they align with approved budgets and identifying any discrepancies.
-Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies for reducing costs without compromising quality or efficiency.
4.Process Improvement:
-Identify and implement process improvements to enhance cost control procedures and streamline financial operations.
-Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize cost efficiency and eliminate wasteful practices.
-Participate in the evaluation and selection of vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts and terms.
5.Compliance and Risk Management:
-Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
-Mitigate financial risks by conducting regular audits and implementing internal controls.
-Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to cost control.

-Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
-Proven experience as a cost controller or in a similar financial role.
-Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
-Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
-Familiarity with industry-specific cost structures and dynamics is advantageous.
