Sous Chef

You will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, preparing high-quality food, and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen workflow. You will assist in menu development, oversee kitchen staff, and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
-Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, development, and execution, ensuring the offerings are fresh, innovative, and aligned with the coffee shop’s brand.
-Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
-Prepare and cook menu items, including breakfast dishes, sandwiches, salads, and baked goods, ensuring consistency and quality.
-Ensure all kitchen operations comply with food safety and sanitation regulations.
-Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
-Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.
-Monitor food costs and portion control to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
-Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and address any customer feedback or concerns.
-Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
-Assist with scheduling, performance evaluations, and other administrative tasks as needed.
